Sidamo coffee can have a myriad of different flavours. Depending on the differences in soil type, microclimates and native coffee plant species, every town in Sidamo is able to produce coffees with obvious differences and distinct features. Going a step further, we have narrowed down to this batch of coffee beans that once consecutively attained a high score of 92 and 94 on "Coffee Review", an influential US-based website for coffee reviews. The region is blessed with volcanic soil that is nutrient-rich with good drainage and is nearly two meters deep. The greatest advantage of the region is the self-sustaining ecosystem that maintains the richness of the soil, where natural fertilizers are formed from withering trees, dried leaves and wilted flowers. This batch was produced in Shilcho Co-op which is near Dilla town. The Shilcho Co-op was established in the year 1976 and is currently a member of the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU).
