Bau Estate is a specialty coffee farm that mainly exports coffee to Japan, USA, Italy, Belgium, Sweden and The Netherlands. While Bau Estate is professionally run, it is a family business that involves the whole family. They are fully devoted to the production of high quality coffee. The annual rainfall at Bau Estate is 1,800mm, and it is located at a high altitude of 1,100 km, with a farm area of over 700 hectares. It is a coffee farm that employs the latest equipment and technology in quality control, and only focusing on the production of specialty coffee. A majority ofthe coffee from Bau Estate is sold to coffee buyers who emphasise greatly on quality, hence being a specialty coffee, it is limited in quantities, and very small amounts can be found available on the market.
Yellow Bourbon is a type of Bourbon that is yellow in appearance. Many of the winners at the Brazilian COE in the past are yellow bourbon coffee due to its mesmerising aroma. The estate is recognised by Rainforest Alliance and UZT.
